Myrsine australis, mapou

Out of stock

Myrsine australis, mapou, is a wonderful plant for Hawke’s Bay conditions: it ticks along in the dry and although it is slow to grow to a medium sized tree, it is pretty difficult to kill. Its light green foliage, red stems and dark brown fruit lend a light touch to any restoration plantings. Good bird food. It is sometimes called red matipo.
