Nestegis cunninghamii, black maire
Out of stock
Nestegis cunninghamii, black maire is a forest giant in Hawke’s Bay, growing into a tall tree with very hard timber, and a rounded canopy. It is a handsome tree which needs protection from the sun and wind when it is young. Great for birds as it produces fruit for pigeons, and also good for bees. Plant in damp rich sites. Remarkably drought and cold tolerant.
