Olearia solandri, coastal tree daisy
Olearia solandri, coastal tree daisy is one of my favourite plants of all time. It is tough and hardy, and can cope with dry and wet. See it along roadsides in Central Hawke’s Bay. Its fluffy little flowers are great for bees. Coastal tree daisy looks terribly spindly when young but grows into a strong multi=stemed plant which is great in the dry and wind. And it’s a terrific addition to wetlands too.
