Pennantia corymbosa, kaikomako

Out of stock

Pennantia corymbosa, Kaikomako, is an elegant forest tree which likes to start out with shade and shelter. It has beautifully fragrant flowers close to Christmas, followed by berries perfect for birds. It is a cylindrical shape making it suitable for gardens. The glossy leaf looks like a ducks foot, and this is a good way to identify the plant. It is found here and there in Hawke’s Bay forests; this seed was collected in the Maraetotara area.
