Plagianthus divaricatus, saltmarsh ribbonwood
Plagianthus divaricatus, saltmarsh ribbonwood is a very handy sort of plant. Not only does it grow into great shelter for coastal areas, it can grow very successfully around fresh water dams and streams as well as salty coastal sites. Good habitat for birds and bees. It’s as tough as anything. See it in its natural habitat in the estuary at Waipatiki.
