Catchment Groups

We love working with catchment groups to supply their projects, and are happy to help with advice and site visits. We have been working with the Ahuriri and Tributaries Catchment Group for several years, and also supply Guardians of Tutira & Districts Inc with plants and advice.

Hosting visits

Whether you have a community project like a wetland restoration, want to replant riparian areas, or undertake soil erosion control projects, we have the most suitable locally sourced plants for your catchment project. We also offer poplars and Himalayan oaks for planting on pastoral sites.

We are happy to host visits at the nursery so that catchment group members can learn more about the plants they can use to restore their landscapes.

Our extensive range

We specialise in native plants for restoration, conservation, wetlands, farm planting and landscaping projects. Our seeds are sourced from naturally occurring indigenous populations throughout Hawke’s Bay. Every summer and autumn we traverse the area for the widest range of seeds from all sorts of landscapes, collecting seeds from original wild plants and landscapes wherever possible. If you’re after a particular species, we’ll work with you to find the best option for your site.
