Chionochloa flavicans (Te Mata Peak Snow Tussock)

This tussock is only found on the Peak, so it’s particularly special. It’s like a half-sized toetoe, perfect for gardens and with glorious straw coloured seed heads which come out in late November and December. Frost hardy, it likes well drained soil, and open sunny sites.
