Coprosma crassifolia

When rain falls on this plant in autumn, its small orange berries glow like glass beads. Coprosma crassifolia is an elegant divaricating small shrubby tree and is perfect for filling a tricky gap in the garden. Its berries are also great for birds. Prefers semi-shade. It’s found throughout Hawke’s Bay and the seed for this tree was found near Kereru.
