Isn’t this the most gorgeously soft lifttle sedge? In Hawke’s Bay it’s hard to find mature specimens in the wild because of deer grazing. The carex’s hardy nature and compact shape make it perfect for gardens. It does best in full sun and with free draining soil. It has a densely tufted growth habit and slender leaves.
